I firmly believe that our children's education and well-being should not be subject to the whims of political agendas and outside influences. We need to ensure that our schools remain focused on providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for success in all aspects of life, free from bias or undue influence that can create stress and confusion. As your school board trustee, I will work tirelessly to uphold this principle and ensure that our curriculum is based on educational merit, not political ideology.
Trustees should enact the will of the public, representing the diverse perspectives and values of our community. I believe in the importance of listening to the voices of parents, teachers, and community members. I am committed to transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in the decision-making processes, and ensuring that all members of our community have a seat at the table.

I am deeply concerned about the decline in reading scores, MSTEP scores, and SAT scores during the past decade. Education is the foundation of our society, and we owe it to our children to provide them with the best possible opportunities for success. Unfortunately, the recent trends in academic performance indicate that we are falling short of this goal.

I am committed to reversing this trend and ensuring that our schools prioritize academic excellence. This means investing in proven methodologies to improve reading proficiency, providing teachers with the resources and support they need to excel.

I believe that we have the right to know how our hard-earned tax dollars are being spent. Transparency is essential to ensuring school spending is prioritized correctly. Unfortunately, without transparency into the budget, it's impossible for us to know where our money is going and whether it's being used in the best interests of our children.

I want to see our Board of Education have regular updates on budget decisions, opportunities for public input, and meaningful engagement with community members throughout the process.
​
Transparency isn't just about accountability; it's also about building trust and fostering collaboration within our community. By opening up the budget process and inviting your participation, we can work together with our administration to use our tax dollars effectively to support the success of our students.
